Terms of Service

Last updated 8 October 2026

The rules for using Aster: what it does and doesn't do, what we expect from you, who owns your data, and the limits of our responsibility. Please read them with our Privacy Policy and Risk Disclosure.

1.These terms

These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and [COMPANY LEGAL NAME], [REGISTERED ADDRESS] (“Aster”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using Aster you agree to them, to our Privacy Policy and to our Risk Disclosure. If you don't agree, don't use Aster.

2.What Aster does

Aster is a trading journal and discipline tool. It lets you:

  • upload broker statements, connect a MetaTrader account with a read-only investor password, or add trades by hand;
  • get rules proposed from your own trade history, your strategy and your questionnaire answers, and approve, edit or reject them;
  • see each trade checked against the rules you approved, with a discipline score, streaks and violations;
  • see which of your rules apply right now while you trade.

Aster never places, changes or cancels trades, and never holds or moves your money. Some features are marked as coming soon or in testing; we may add, change or remove features over time.

3.Your account

  • You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract under Indian law.
  • Give accurate sign-up details and keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
  • Tell us straight away at [CONTACT EMAIL] if you think someone else has used your account.
  • One person per account. Accounts can't be shared, sold or transferred.

4.Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • upload data you don't have the right to share, including another person's statements or account details;
  • give Aster a broker master (trading) password, or connect an account that isn't yours;
  • break the law, including securities, foreign exchange and data protection laws, while using Aster;
  • try to access other users' data, probe or break our security, or overload the service;
  • scrape, copy, resell or reverse-engineer Aster, or use it to build a competing product;
  • upload malware or anything designed to harm the service or its users.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules.

5.Your data

Your data stays yours. You own the trade history, answers, strategies and rules you give Aster. You give us a limited licence to store and process them only to provide Aster to you, as described in our Privacy Policy. We don't sell your data.

You can delete trades and rules in the app, and ask us to delete your account and data at any time. We may use aggregated statistics that can't identify you to understand how Aster is used and to improve it.

6.No investment advice

Aster does not give investment advice. Aster and [COMPANY LEGAL NAME] are not registered with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) as an investment adviser or research analyst, or with any other regulator, and nothing in Aster is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security, derivative, currency or other instrument.

Rules, scores, findings, live rule status and AI-written text are educational tools to help you follow a process you choose. They are drawn from your own data, may be wrong or incomplete, and don't take your full financial situation into account. Every trading decision is yours alone. Read our Risk Disclosure.

7.Brokers and other services

Aster works with data from brokers and platforms we don't control (such as MetaTrader brokers, Zerodha and TradingView's chart). We aren't responsible for their availability, accuracy or terms, and a broker or platform may change its data or stop working with Aster at any time. Your relationship with your broker is between you and them.

8.Fees

Aster is currently [FREE / OFFERED ON A FREE TRIAL]. If we introduce paid plans, we'll show the price and terms before you pay, and nothing will be charged without your agreement.

9.Our software and content

Aster's software, design, text and brand belong to [COMPANY LEGAL NAME] or its licensors. While your account is open you may use Aster for your own personal trading. These terms don't give you any other rights in it.

10.Service provided as is

We work to keep Aster accurate and available, but it is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose, that imported or calculated figures are correct, or that using it will improve your trading results.

11.Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows:

  • we are not liable for any trading loss, lost profit, or indirect, incidental or consequential loss, however caused, including from relying on rules, scores, alerts or AI output;
  • our total liability to you for any claim about Aster is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or ₹[AMOUNT].

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited under Indian law, such as for fraud.

You agree to compensate us for losses arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of Aster.

12.Ending your use of Aster

You can stop using Aster and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if we stop offering Aster, giving notice where we reasonably can. The sections on your data, no investment advice, liability and governing law continue after your account closes.

13.Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at [JURISDICTION CITY] have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them or from your use of Aster. Before going to court, please contact us at [CONTACT EMAIL] so we can try to resolve it.

14.Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top and, for meaningful changes, tell you by email or in the app before they take effect. If you keep using Aster after that, the new terms apply.

15.Contact

[COMPANY LEGAL NAME], [REGISTERED ADDRESS]. Email [CONTACT EMAIL]. Complaints about personal data go to our Grievance Officer, [GRIEVANCE OFFICER NAME], as described in the Privacy Policy.
